Offshore wind energy has passed the tipping point.
https://cleantechnica.com/2019/04/15...ore-wind-farm/
No subsidies were involved, the only government involvement is the allowance to build them.

This actually isn't the first subsidy-free offshore wind park, but given the timeline it will overtake the other parks to operation.

Any other sources? I refuse to patronize that site; not to mention their 15% truthfulness to 85% made up "facts" ratio.

NY State has published their detailed study for offshore wind and has declared to start with a commitment for 2.3 GW of new wind by 2030 and a long term goal of 100% clean electricity by 2040 (which would need 35 GW summer peak).

Yeah, you said something like that last time round and they proved to be correct after all.
This too is just the culmination of something I posted about a year ago or so.
The facts are what they are. If you don't like the channel so be it.

Does anybody not do that?

The difference between simple and smart people is the skill in which they defend their instinct driven behavior by plastering a fake fabric of reason around it. Wine is actually good for you if consumed within reason, smoking risks are exaggerated by such and so, my F950 is good for polar bears because the scientists that say it isn't are commies, etc.

And they are clean, right? All into solar?
So much better than technica from where the ... y'know?

Elektrek is not nearly as bad. Green Car Reports is pretty honest.
.
I actually made my first every report to Facebook for fake news the other day. 350.org of all organisations. They shared a BS article by some unkown click baiter site with the headline " 30% of world energy now supplied by renewables". This is off by almost a factor of 10. I wrote messages to them and they tried to spin their way out of saying "The transition is happening. We are well on our way".
.
Hydro is pretty well topped out, wind has almost become visible on the chart. solar is still not visible.

All this while I've been concerned about a new ice age burying Chartres or Notre-Dame under a mile of ice again. Whelp, no longer a concern for Notre-Dame:

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=notre-dame...r=news&ia=news

For me, that's as significant as the World Trade Center.

I told a friend that climate change is a solved problem and she snorted and didn't let me explain that the solution needs widespread implementation.

I like facts and am fine with them. I'm not fine with that website as a source, mostly because of how much they set back environmental causes and give fodder to global warming deniers and other anti-environmentalists.

Anything on that site is opinion unless they cite other sources. If these facts you say are presented on their site, they surely they listed their source. If so, that can be linked rather than be regurgitated by their zombie content-fabricators.

I'm disappointed now I didn't get to see it before this. The organ has been monkeyed with quite a bit, but at one time it was Cavaillé-Coll's largest instrument (important French Romantic organ builder) in a pre-Revolution case, and the bench where Louis Vierne died in the middle of a recital in 1937 is/was still in the balcony. Not to mention that church being important enough in music history that a whole repertory of early polyphony is named for it.
