Be glad we're not on Venus:
Plus a good introduction to the ENLIL Spiral. ....if you can get past the [bad press about the] instructor.

Follow the bouncing ball Science.
phys.org/news/2022-04: Estimates of the carbon cycle—vital to predicting climate change—are incorrect, researchers show
Quote:
The estimate of how much carbon dioxide plants pull from the atmosphere is critical to accurately monitor and predict the amount of climate-changing gasses in the atmosphere. This finding has the potential to change predictions for climate change, though it is unclear at this juncture if the mismatch will result in more or less carbon dioxide being accounted for in the environment.
"Either the amount of carbon coming out of the atmosphere from the plants is wrong or the amount coming out of the soil is wrong," said Meredith Steele, an assistant professor in the School of Plant and Environmental Sciences in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, whose Ph.D. student at the time, Jinshi Jian, led the research team. The findings are to be published Friday in Nature Communications.
"We are not challenging the well-established climate change science, but we should be able to account for all carbon in the ecosystem and currently cannot," she said. "What we found is that the models of the ecosystem's response to climate change need updating."

Well established my but. They change everything about once every 8 years to the point where 50 years ago global cooling and the next ice age was going to kill us all.
And that's still more likely as a vei 8 could pop any day plunging us into a 2 yearn nuclear winter.

What is 'a vei 8'?
I guess we're the only two that worry about the fate of the Planet. Here's münecat:
Her's is an interesting case -- entertaining, but she promotes Extinction Rebellion. The music video at the end is worthy of Dr Randomercam and the research behind the narrative is almost as dense as Aydin Paladin.

1) If that's true, then NASA's improved it's models.
2) If that's true, B.D. will be getting his data from NASA.
3) If that's true, then, as always, I've no need of B.D., I'll just get the straight scoop directly from NASA.
4) And NASA isn't telling me that I have a problem like that.
5) Which makes your conclusion that I'm 'wrong' quite dubious.
6) And take your argument to about the consequences of 'if' and 'when' to National Geographic. They did the research.
7) If there's a 'Carrington Event', and we have a problem, it will be a 'capitalism' problem, not a Carrington Event problem.
8) I won't attribute your comment to malice, just ignorance.

Obviously, when man builds a fire, fifteen times larger than than all forests on Earth, there's going to be a net increase in anthropogenic greenhouse gases each year.

Who cares!
Humans aren't important, or any other life forms for that matter. Look at the last two years.
When $ 3.3-million doctor bills for COVID extended care = free vaccinations, we've obviously passed into some nether world of logic and reason.
The Pentagon finally fessed up about helmets and body armor.
It'd all been a business scam for a hundred years and more.
From here on out, troops will be sent naked into battle. Bombs, bullets and shrapnel are all a made up myth. Slick, high-resolution C.G.I. from Hollywood. Wag the dog.
