I have two books which report that it's understood within the geological community that 'where' formations are 'discovered', don't necessarily represent the actual 'source.'
'Migration' is kind of a given, as it's believed that ALL crude oil originates in 'Shale', but could end up in any water-filled strata of greater porosity until finally arrested by some impermeable rock or salt dome.
Fault lines and fissures would be 'highways' where oil could communicate elsewhere.
If the 'source' had not been exhausted, after a formation had played out, oil would simply continue migrating and recharge it. It's just driven by specific gravity/ buoyancy.

'abrupt' ocean currents
We'd need specificity with respect to what they mean by 'abrupt', as in climate, this can be measured in thousands of years.
An inland continental glacial sea, breaking loose through a land barrier, could deliver such a freshwater pulse into the ocean that the thermohaline cycle could be shocked by the change in density.
We won't be seeing any glaciations though, the way things are going.

AOC climate change documentary earns only $80 per theater despite rave critic reviews
https://www.foxnews.com/media/aoc-cl...critic-reviews
New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s new climate change documentary debuted in movie theaters over the weekend, generating an abysmal $80 per theater.
Quote:
The new film, "To the End," was filmed over four years and follows four young women, Cortez, activist Varshini Prakash, climate policy writer Rhiana Gunn-Wright and political strategist Alexandra Rojas, as they attempt to pass sweeping climate change legislation in Congress.
The film currently boasts an 88% "fresh" critic score on Rotten Tomatoes and does not yet have an audience score.

This site puts opening weekend at $9,666.

🤔
It would seem that public doesn’t care or believe in climate change as much our government official’s and Hollyweird does…
🤷
Strange huh…???

Culture is upstream from politics.

What upstream of culture? Computer science.

What’s missing from AlphaCode is “any architectural design in the machine learning model that relates to…generating code,” said Kolter. Writing computer code is like building a sophisticated building: it’s highly structured, with programs needing a defined syntax with context clearly embedded to generate a solution.
AlphaCode does none of it. Instead, it generates code similar to how large language models generate text, writing the entire program and then checking for potential mistakes (as a writer, this feels oddly familiar). How exactly the AI achieves this remains mysterious—the inner workings of the process are buried inside its as yet inscrutable machine “mind.”

Who knew artists were most at risk of being replaced by AI? I figured that would be the last holdout. I figured pharmacist would have been replaced by vending machines with AI by now, but those gatekeepers must be more powerful.

It's just a new battleground for something that goes back to 1971. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Pirates
Quote:
The Air Pirates were a group of cartoonists who created two issues of an underground comic called Air Pirates Funnies in 1971, leading to a famous lawsuit by Walt Disney Productions.[1] Founded by Dan O'Neill, the group also included Bobby London, Shary Flenniken, Gary Hallgren, and Ted Richards.
The original Air Pirates were a gang of Mickey Mouse antagonists of the 1930s; Dan O'Neill imagined Mickey Mouse to be a symbol of conformist hypocrisy in American culture, and therefore a ripe target for satire.

Copyright and the Mouse - FishEye
11 Apr 2022 The way the US has approached this is to extend the length of copyright protection for works created in the late-1920s and later twice (1976 and 1998). If you know your Disney history, 1928 was the first appearance of Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Willie. If nothing changes, it will enter the public domain in 2024.

Think they can fend off the public domain again today?

'Oil from Earth's Mantle'
I believe I've wasted enough on this 'nothing-burger.'
The original premise originated from Professor Kutcherov et al.'s July 26, 2009, NATURE GEOSCIENCE: Geophysical Laboratory, Carnegie Institution, report.
I'll let the authors let the air out their theory, in their own words:
' the tell-tale chemical signatures began to fade after a few days.'
' The synthesis and stability.... over the full range of conditions within the Earth's mantle now need to be explored... the extent to which this 'reduced' carbon survives migration into the crust needs to be established.'
'These and related questions demonstrate the need for a new experimental and theoretical program to study the fate of carbon in the deep Earth.'
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Petroleum geologists will tell you that over 99% of hydrocarbons are organic in origin.
They survive in the crust for tens of millions of years. Not a 'few days.'
'Oil' does NOT originate in Earth's mantle.
And there's a reason why the call it 'fossil-fuel.'
