Betteridge's law of headlines - Wikipedia
A headline with a question mark at the end means, in the vast majority of cases, that the story is tendentious or over-sold. It is often a scare story, or an attempt to elevate some run-of-the-mill piece of reporting into a national controversy and, preferably, a national panic.

Haven't watched, but lofting tons of tungsten into orbit will never match the throw weight of redirected asteroids.

This Island Earth - Wikipedia
Exeter takes both Earthers back to his world, sealing them in conditioning tubes to normalize the pressure differences between the planets. They land safely on Metaluna, but the planet is under bombardment by Zagon spaceships guiding flaming meteors as weapons against them.

This strikes me as odd.
When all possible explanations have been eliminated?

Well would you look at that.
Cohesive plasma chunks blasting away from the sun.
It would seem the ancient one is wrong again.

I saw Suspicious 0bservers' heads-up last night, but hadn't remembered that and I already have seven tabs awaiting (includes Scott Adams and Anton Petrov).
He didn't say if it was 35 degrees ahead or behind us.
edit: I jumped my own queue, He showed the eruption but didn't comment. Out of the Southeast quadrant.
Best one since 2012.
2nd edit: I sorted the queue to bring Anton Petrov to the front.
I think I get that they can read the magnetic orientation of the dust particles swept up by the bubble; but... The implication is that the Earth entered a bubble that spawned a lot of blue stars, therefore younger. Earth may be the oldest star system for hundreds of light years?
The bigger picture looks like Milky Way by Van Gogh

"Does it fall back"?
Nope. And it wasn't even that big of a flare that blasted it away. Almost like the sun spots are cooler than normal, as if something is changing.
