In my slice of the world there's this:https://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto/5072417250.html

It's got some issues but I know a lot of the users here are gearheads of some stripe, so a little rust here and there isn't a show stopper.

What concerns me is the underside and the seller doesn't mention it. Metros are seriously prone to rust, especially underneath, and here in K-town we're serious about salting our roads. We salt our roads like they were mashed potatoes, our salt budget would pay for a lot of plowing (hint hint, city council)

Anyhoo I'm all carred up or I'd take a peek at it.

Correct you are. Aftermarket, according to the listing.

And I'm pretty sure the EPA Ffuel economy numbers the add quotes are for the HX. The DX is more like 27 city, 30 combined, and 34 highway, using the post 2008 EPA ratings.
Aha. Too good to be true. (And we never got the HX in Canada.)

Going just by the appearance of the strut towers, the rockers (door open pics) and the quarters, I'd bet it's OK underneath.

HOLY UNICORN, BATMAN! $700 Civic VX?

I thought all of these had rusted away long ago from this region! Although this one also appears to be well on its way...

Any way to tell from these pics if it's really a VX?

Low km's for the year, too:

If it is a vx, it's a heck of a deal. I was watching a vx on ebay, until the price went through the roof. It's sitting at $3850 right now, with 4 or 5 days to go. It's red, just like the one above.

Dang. I love my car, but half of the year I wish that she were white! Silver looks better, though!

My fender looks almost as bad. The problem is that it rubs on the door.

Even brand new from Honda, a replacement fender is only $140.
Honda Automotive Parts

You could probably get a painted one even cheaper at the junkyard.

Last week I saw an old Civic hatch in someone's yard with a sign saying $1500 in the windshield.

But I was somwhat pressed for time and it was on a hill. There's only so much time and momentum I'm giving up to advertise someone else's used car.

It was probably an automatic with too many miles, anyway.
