It sucked, and sucked gas to boot because it was built to appease fuel constraints so thier full line mpg avg could score higher.
Ill take all the power ya have and use it intelligently, Again I point you to the Cadillac engines, and Big mercedes hybrid diesels. The shoe must fit I can wear something 2 sizes too big but cannot fit 1/2 sized too small.

Bold for emphasis.

Kia Sephia isn't exactly known for high horsepower. This 1.0 ecoboost will certainly have higher useable output in the daily-driving rpm range.

Reminds me of the brilliant concept behind the old Cosworth Vega. The brilliant concept, and the disastrous execution.

Heh. That can do it, but I was thinking about the discussions on here about manual transmissions being geared for performance, not for intelligence.

Gear ratios:
5th 0.756
4th 0.951
3rd 1.281
2nd 1.926
1st 3.582
Reverse 3.62
FDR 4.25

It produces 170-200 Nm in the 1400-4000 rpm range.

Europe also has a 6-speed version with s 0.690 sixth gear and 4.07 FD.

In USA, the non-turbo 1.6L 2014 Fiesta 5 speed manual has this:

First Gear Ratio - 3.85
Second Gear Ratio - 2.04
Third Gear Ratio - 1.28
Fourth Gear Ratio - 0.95
Fifth Gear Ratio - 0.76
Reverse Ratio - 3.62
Final Drive Axle Ratio - 4.07

Sure, the right gear selection can really define the character of a vehicle, regardless the engine's size.

Ford has set something of a record with the triple ecoboost.

Ford Focus EcoBoost record drive, 1000 miles on one tank

Quote:
71 mpg at an average speed of 38 mph ... the whole trip taking 28 hours

What were the numbers for the aerocivic again, @ 40mph ?

The trip's been driven in northern Scandinavia, where there's extremely little traffic, without AC, and according to other reports, using police escort ...

Thanks for posting that! But... link doesn't work.

This one does (sorry, it's a Google link to a Ford PDF). Mentions the police "oversight".

Nice, but... I beat that last year. In a 15 year old car. In daily traffic with stoplights and all, commuting to and from work. With a new cold start every 10 miles. With no police escort.
