Here's a preview of a 2 hour video -- there are several pauses with a black screen; just let it keep playing.

I watched the previews. I'll make a point of seeing this one when it airs - looks interesting.

FVT has done a full overhaul on their web page, and there is a lot of new, more specific information:

Discovery Special
I wish it was airing here instead of just in Canada.

Yes, you would think that a web version would be possible?

That's the primer coat -- they had a fire about a month before the X-Prize, so they did not have time to repaint it. Here's what that same eVaro looks like now:
And here's my picture album of the FVT eVaro:

I see a 'diamond in the rough' with this beauty. The first thing I would do would be to make the front end smoother and extend the tail out. Then add wheel disks.
Love it.

It has disk brakes... They are inboard!
You can see the calipers just inside of the frame next to the upper shock mount; and just outside the blue direct drive motors.
From the latest specs:
Quote:
Braking: Regenerative braking slows the vehicle from any speed to 0. Hydraulic brakes are in place only as a back-up braking system and to hold the vehicle stationary when stopped.
