Looking into a sprayer bidet now. I just finished replacing literally every piece of plumbing in my house, and have all of the parts needed to install a hot water line adjacent to the cold line for the toilet. I could probably have it up and running in half an hour.
I'll definitely need a hot water line. Vermont's tap water is frigid even in summer - I believe I've measured around 38-40F (~3.5C).

In my case adding a T into the hot water line would be trivial. But I use tissue paper to substitute for Kleenex.

I'd look for one that had a heating element. How long do you need to run your water before hot comes out?

Running the sink, probably 60 seconds, it's an extremely low-flow faucet. It's perhaps only 15ft from the hot water tank. Though, an additional outlet wouldn't be difficult either, just a bit more expensive.
I'm not terribly concerned about "wasting" the water as it's from a well in the front of the house, which seems basically endless.

I've got a well, too. "Wasting" water is really just moving it from the back yard to the front yard. I was thinking "all set for the water now" and getting a cold blast or waiting 60 seconds...

Divert it to the flushing reservoir.
Ps, most taps in finland have a thermostat.
So your 2 controls are flow and temperature.

There is a plethora of toilet seat-based doodads that squirt water at your butt these days. No need to buy a lot of porcelain.

On my travels I've encountered the basic basin bidet and the wands. The basins work great in my opinion. Wet, scrub, rinse, dry. The soap and towel are on holders and easy to reach and all the water stays in the basin. I haven't had the same luck with the wands. I always end up with water all over the seat.
The fancy Toto Japanese toilets work well too but I don't want a toilet that says hello and the blow dryers take too long. I also don't really like the idea of blowing air OUT of the toilet bowl.

Yikes! Maybe a subwoofer vibrating seat to shake the water off? A butt trumpet if you will?
