no charge upgrade / re-flash
Just heard back: upgrading the SG code is free of charge. We just have to mail in the gauge along with a form printed from their website:

If you feel it is working well, we can start re-flashing other people for it.
We will not charge for this, they would only be responsible for getting the unit here. We will cover shipping back to them.
They can get the upgrade form from our website, and make sure when they send it in to put a note on the bottom that they want the ecomodder version.

My only disclaimer: I haven't driven the car a whole lot with the new code. Less than ~20 km. But it certainly seems to do what we all want, and I didn't spot any unusual side effects.

That's about on par with how fast I usually get things done.
To be honest, I forgot about this issue (obviously) until I started driving the Civic.

Jedi: I'm sure it'll be a-ok.
Also found out today: the fix can be applied to SG-e's as well.

Got mine back on Saturday, having sent it out a week earlier on Friday. Great service! They updated it for free, AND paid for the return shipping, so it actually cost them.
Just print out the sheet on their website (linked earlier in this thread). Leave the credit card section blank, put in the Notes that you want version 4.13EM.
It works as described. Now to recalibrate my gauge. :/

Glad to hear. I just gathered up 3 SG's from the family collection to send in at once. Will be doing that this week.
