Max is highest vacuum which is actually when the engine is least efficient.

My dad spotted this one in another city.

Fitted with a Honda CG125 engine bolted to a highly-modded Mobylette moped frame, with a VW Beetle steering gear.

Me -"Wow, an Acadian Scooter!"
Guy working at auction - "What's that?"
Me - "It's the Canadian Pontiac version of a Chevette."
Guy working at auction - "What's a Chevette?"
Me - died a little bit inside.

That guy needs his auction ticket revoked, working there and not knowing what a Chevette is?? Ha ha. Check this thing out, 1986 Acadian Scooter, 4 speed, with, get this, 127k KMs (78k miles)! Someone even put new shocks and a rebuilt carb in it recently.

I don't think the rear seat has ever been sat in, and the rear roll up cargo cover is even still there.

If I hadn't just bought my '87 Civic, I think this would have to be the new winter car, it's so awful it's great!

The Chevette is one of the cars that my mother hates the most, altough I really like it. I wish I could legally repower an old Chevette with a Peugeot DW8 engine to run on old frying oil...

Too bad I wasn't there to take a closer look when dad took the pictures of the tricycle. And there is a cousin of mine who lives close to the Uruguayan border who would also love that tricycle...

The Scooter sold for huge money - $350! Well, that's huge for a Chevette anyway ha ha. Luckily I got drenched in the rain looking at some other stuff before the bidding started, and was in a really foul mood, so I didn't see the humour in owning that thing and let someone else take it. Being grumpy paid off this time, those cars were crap when they were new, I could have seen that thing getting old real quick ha ha

Today I saw a Ford Aspire, too bad I wasn't able to take a picture of that. I've also seen an old sedanette-delivery version of the Volkswagen Gol (basically the hatchback version of the Fox from the 80s) in my neighborhood.
