Jack,

I understand what you are doing and why in terms of turning the contactor off and on for your field shunt portion of your motor. However, I am curious how you are feeding it the required 4 amps. I have a sepex motor and need a max of 50 amps for the field coil. I was planning on building a small PWM circuit but didn't know if you came up with something more clever.

I'm taking a simple approach for now. the shunt field is being fed from either 36v or 72v (max) by taping the traction pack. I may well end up with a pwm system but this setup will get me on the road.

Happy Birthday Ben!!

Love the shirt!.

I actually work in the same building as a screen printer and I can get a good deal on multi color screen printed shirts.

If there is enough interrest, I could talk to him and see what he can do.

Anyone who is interested in getting a shirt can now get it through my mini-online-t-shirt-store! There is a variety of shirts there, including black logo on white AND white logo on black, plus some other colors or shirts. Also, long sleeve, sweatshirts, etc.

Visit EV T-shirts to get one.

We'll also get a link to it on Paul's web page at:
Welcome to PaulandSabrinasEVstuff.com

If anyone is interested in coffee cups, other clothing with the logo, etc, just let me know!

-Ben

PS: the "Value" T-Shirt is only $10. Maybe we could include t-shirts as part of the kit!?!
