Three tanks over 41mpg. This car likes highway. Wish I could set up a block heater at my apartment but they don't even let you wash cars in the parking area

Looks like I might have a shop to install coilovers in when the time comes, which should be soon. Track days are quickly approaching. Gotta get out racing...

Anybody in Michigan have a spare motorcycle mirror I can use on the drivers side? Gotta get something put on when I register it in MI. The stock one is so big.

All you need is one on the inside (center) and drivers side (does not state inside or out. check the wiki links for mirror laws.

That's why I don't trust anything but the government statute site.

Nothing real to report. Doing a road trip this weekend either in the Civic or an 80's Porsche 911. We shall see. Finally building up some money in the ol' bank account so coilovers should be possible soon.

Still trying to settle on a plate.

If it's a 78-83 911, do not expect decent MPGs. I think you're doing well in those if you can break 25 MPG, more typically we see 20. (Though that's with my lead-footed wife driving.)

The 84-88 911s get better mileage (more typically in the mid-20s) due to taller gearing and a better fuel management system.

1984 3.2 Carrera, he says. I ended up driving up to meet him.

Getting some aeromods ready for the drive to Cleveland to see said friend at his place of residence. In the mean time, this guy can't figure out why I parked so close.

Parking Issues by Tyler Linner, on Flickr

Pulled my drivers mirror off its cheater panel and started sculpting a new, bullet shaped aero mirror out of 20# urethane foam.

If everything goes well I should be ordering coilovers next weekend!

Funny!

I do the same. I don't really care if I get a door ding or two, so I'll nab the tiny spot where someone parks over the line like this. Especially if I can park close to their driver's door so they have to crawl in from the other side of the car.
