Get all of your bushings fixed before attempting an alignment. That's probably what's throwing your camber out. Depending on how much you decide to replace, it might be wise to get adjustable toe on the rears and adjustable camber in the front.
Might be of use, but my car sits unevenly after I lower it off my jack, but levels out once I've driven it. I think my dampers might cause this as they're super stiff.

I do intend to do suspension work before going in again. I didn't notice how much stuff was worn out or broken. I will collect control arms, bushings etc. and put them in when I can get my hands on some coilovers. Will look for the adjustable ones. Is there any affordable brand I should go for, or just Ebay it?

Going to focus on the bushings now, and once that's taken care of, start saving for coils. I don't think it's worth it to throw money I don't have on another set of stock suspension. At least until I can count the spring coils and see why it's leaning.

Picked up my new HX wheels today! Weighed them several times at 10lbs. Should make a noticeable difference in driving.
Also, due to recent events I will be be doing much more hypermiling now and enrolling in autocross this summer.

Good luck on the autocross, of all the types of racing I've tried, it was witbout a doubt the most fun.

Ok, so I started re-building my grille block and mirror panels with pink sheet foam. It's much stiffer and less porous. Might have a mirror panel done soon. We'll see how it goes.
I want to take a picture of the salt deposits on the car for airflow reference, too. The top of the front wheel wells really needs to be capped off/gap filled.

I gave up on expanding foam for the Insight too. I started on a grille block last spring and just ended up going back to duct tape and thin plastic. Foam board will be my next move for that part.
But I think I'm OK with the mirror part/expanding foam. It's been setting up since oh, around June. One of these months (years), I'll post it up.

I have ebayed rear 'quick' struts on my corolla, ~20k miles on them, no problems. The auction was for monroes at a cheap price, and I would guess they were not monroe brand, just has the part number matching for monroe. I have some old (80s) shocks that are the same setup, monroe part number, but are another brand.

Seeing if I can hook up a trade deal to get some new Ebay upper control arms aka camber kit. $100-$170 it looks like, while Skunk2 stuff is twice as much. Couldn't stand Tein's website so no word there. Worth the extra money?
Repainted the wheel covers "bronze metallic" and put them all on this time. The color looks either really awesome like a rally car or terrible like peanut butter.
Made a quick 'plast grille block that opens just for the radiator and began filing on the giant foam block. Working on the mirror delete panels but Bondo spotting putty eats foam really badly. I may end up spraying them with primer from a ways away- then it shouldn't eat away too much.
We got a lot of snow yesterday so when I got all the stuff on I took it out to a parking lot and drifted around a bit on the "closed course". Getting a better handle on the handling.
Look at the salt deposits. It needs the top of the wheel wells capped off... you can also see how badly the suspension is leaning.

Oh, and due to last week being well below zero, coupled with lots of extra-urban driving, this tank is not impressive.

The peanutbutter hubcaps look pretty good from what I can see in the photos. Ever since I painted mine black, no one even notices them on the black car. Yours blends in well with the color scheme even though it is brown on red .
