I don't know anyone named Ron but I have no reason to disbelieve the story as told.

Poor guy not only got reamed by his boss, he has to refund money.

All while linear logic sat back and ... laughed? Watched indifferently? Counted their piles of cash?

Why would someone reveal information that is basically humiliating to himself?

Is he a pawn of some competitor of linear logic? Hard to believe, though stranger things have happened.

If anyone knows this 'ron' character, by all means, I'd like to hear his side of the story, if there is any.

Welp, guess I'm not buying a SG. Hope no one else here does either. I'm either going to try and find a used one, so that no one in SG gets my money or DYI one. I for one am a "customer" that if you screw me I am going to not buy anything from you. They could have been forthcoming and told you reformed that this would not work, it is like they are trying to do the worst job they can.

Thanks though for the effort. I am going to go take my money and probably try and find a used Kyak.

Totally bummed.
Last week we had rented a Chevy HHR and it had a MPG guage on it.
was really looking forward to having this on the car.
If Scanguage was reading this - shame on them for not saying something.

not how i wanted to start my Monday.

They just lost 2 full price sales from my end; I was going to buy a pair for fathers day presents; not anymore. (I don't do group buys).

Clear this up and I'll probably buy them.

Someone should forward this thread to Linear Logic to make sure that they do know what is going on/ verify the story . . . . . .

Ditto. I won't be buying one now, either, unless this all gets cleared up. Including me I count at least 6 or 7 lost customers over this. That *easily* makes up for the discount on each unit that was proposed. I would also like to hear Ron's side of the story if anyone gets in touch with him. Forward him this thread, see what they've got to say.

I was going to do 2 also.. one for the van, and one for the truck.. Guess not.. Vacuum gauge here, far cheaper and doesn't support this company.

Hopefully the Chinese reverse engineer this thing and put them on the market for $50..

At least my Jeep has the stock MPG gauge already installed

Folks, let's chill a little bit.

Despite what happened here, the SGII remains an excellent product; the owner of the company has gone above & beyond the call of duty based on my personal dealing with him in the past.

Until we know the root cause for why this fell apart, but there's little point in speculating - and nothing to be gained by slinging mud - until we get more details from reformed & Linear Logic.
