My favorite current exanple is Zipline drone deliveries.
I'm pretty sure that was always the point. Also banning DDT and R-12.

I'm starting to think I should start a Bucky Fuller thread. From the R. A. Wilson interview in 1981

But in places he sounds like G.Thunberg. :
Nobody has a monopoly on correct opinion, so I'm not one to throw the baby out with the bath water... which is why I continue to listen to SA. Any prediction about a complex system containing unknown variables is going to be wrong. It could be directionally accurate, but the specifics will be incorrect.

From a persuasion perspective, I don't think there's any way to motivate people on a complex topic to take action without creating fear and a sense of urgency, so I guess I shouldn't fault any "true believers" when they create nonsense timeframes. That said, you certainly don't want to be caught being Neville Chamberlain when the situation calls for being Winston Churchill. The trick is discerning when it's appropriate to be either of those figures.

Regarding my frameworks, I'm too undisciplined and have too little time to subject them to reality, so I post them as clearly as I can in forums to open-source edit and construct.

I had an appointment this morning, so I didn't get to the podcast until 2PM.

He led with the funniest video of all time, the bicycle thieves.

I saw that yesterday, and also the wierdest car crash ever.

I just finished an extremely interesting podcast.

Firstly for the 80s ambient intro.

Slashdot effect
The Slashdot effect, also known as slashdotting, occurs when a popular website links to a smaller website, causing a massive increase in traffic. This overloads the smaller site, causing it to slow down or even temporarily become unavailable. This has the same effect as a denial-of-service attack, albeit accidentally.Wikipedia

How to Assemble the VAD-VAD BLOCK -- Maker Workshop

3D Printed Geopolymer, The Pyramids & Roman Construction | The 10,000 Year Home

There is another video that shows how to make the form for the mold. It occurs to me that with two molds you could have curved blocks for the inside and outside of a specific radius curved wall.

Rather than an expensive 3D printer, one could mix up a batch and put it in a big hypodermic needle and use that to fill each mold.

The '10,000 year' part is hyperbole. Few things would retain their utility, except really generic designs. Dry laid blocks could be reconfigured like Legos. This satisfies Scott Adams's criteria for the House Of The Future.

I emailed this to my family, does anyone want to build anything, or know how to get Scott Adams attention. Maybe post on Twitter or something?

Scott "liked" my first 2 posts to his Locals.

He seems to respond to anything that either feeds his ego, or challenges it. Similar MO as me, to my dismay.

Were I to pay for something it would probably be Twitter.

But feel free to suggest the Lego house of the future he wants is here. No need to drag me into the line of fire.

Today's episode very good today. Cause of civilization collapse, and how it applies to us, and how "news" has played a big role in bringing about the beginning of collapse.

Internet viewing as a way to get real-time information on views and interests as incentive to cause outrage above reporting the facts. It's simply more profitable, and we make them rich in exchange for them making us miserable.

Internet has it's own Overton Window. There are bounds on permissible discourse. Usenet was a truer reflection of the general consensus. The Web was coopted and used to manufacture consent.

The choices made after the Stonewall Riots led directly to dead children today.

Truth/reality has no use of consent, and it's more durable than people.

Episode 2063 at 41:56

Mr. Adams declares "one of the best and scariest ideas I've ever heard..." to be when depop comes the UBI recipients are first against the wall.

The presumption is that all UBI recipients would just lay back. It's like R. B. Fuller said about the GI Bill, if only one recipient changes the world you can't begrudge the ones who didn't.

It's just as likely some will aspire to more than subsistence and release intellectual property under the GPL license that transforms society.

edit:
Okay, the 'smarter than the smart people' joke was pretty good.

2nd edit:

He's discovered Tartaria! But he conflates it with Mud Flood. IMHO Mud Flood is disinformation to poison the well over historical Tartaria and antiquitech.
