The Asteroid Belt has all the iron, aluminum and water needed. Already packetized.

I was thinking that, but am not aware of any specific details. Don't know if it's more difficult to mine that, or planets/moons?

Any solution has to involve a net energy gain.

I'm just disappointed I won't be around in 5,000 years to see what solutions end up being implemented.

The world's problems are not solvable because a tiny percentage of the population that makes the big decisions doesn't care that they're running Earth, humanity, and society into collapse. That collapse could happen very quickly for billions of people any hour of every day (via nuclear war, which 'they' are very much heading us for).

I'm just disappointed I won't be around in 5,000 fifty years to see what solutions end up being implemented.

Me being around in 50 years is technologically possible. But politically infeasible.

Knowledge always increases, control waxes and wanes.

It's the 6000-year-old Babylonian mystery school against Starlink. Place your bets.

I was thinking asteroid belt which is nearby, but once again smelting power source becomes the issue along with the ridiculously high deceleration energy requirements.

I've been listening to the Liberated Cartoonist again.

Today he said "Don't think of a Elephant, now what picture is in your mind?" And I'm like "A Giraffe, you told me not to think of an Elephant!".

So it appears we're headed back to 'Which side are you on', and no-one I know wants even talk about it. So I will see if I can get the thread locked.

There is a third option.

I don't think Rome is the best choice, but Russia has offered to mediate.

I'm willing to talk to anyone about anything.

What's the 3rd option?

He's wrong about tons of stuff, because he talks for an hour+ every single day. The big ideas though; he's good at not being wrong about.

He got cancelled because he stated that if someone hates you, you should get away from them.

That leaves 2 options;

1. You get away from them
2. They get away from you

Far as I can see, there's no other practical solution. "I'll give you reparations, but you'll continue to hate and kill me" isn't a solution. You're back at options 1 or 2.

What is the common thread?;

Russia- They've got our land
Hamas- They've got our land
BLM- They've got our riches

They're all backwards looking victim mentality organizations that create a system designed to make everyone suffer, including themselves. None of them are forward looking, deciding that even given disadvantage, they will overcome. Complete fail mentality, with tragic consequences for absolutely everyone.

The funniest thing I've seen was a African guy saying it is white people bickering over African land. Like the Levant not Africa, Arabs aren't white and the Shepardic Jews are but they hate it.

He intentionally picked bad examples. And now he is a happier catoonist watching the newspaper business implode since they fired him.

You might appreciate Tucker's interview with [somebody] Tarczynski:
Tucker Carlson Talks Illegal Immigration Crisis

Tucker is also better off for being cancelled.

edit: Dominick Tarczynski.

...see, you're almost always better off getting away from people that hate you. Sometimes the people that hate you simply help by telling you to leave.

I disagreed with the execution of Scott's point, but he knows the most important part of persuasion is to get people's attention.

Your 3rd option fulfills the criteria of both of the options I claimed were the only ones, and it doesn't resolve the conflict about who's doing the moving.

Someone elsewhere asked what a win/win solution to achieve peace is. The attacker's immediate and unconditional surrender, of course. You get to be Japan then.

Not sure about the last part. Japan and immediate.

But Russia has a relationship to both sides. I don't think they would even have to occupy the entire territory, just tell both sides FAFO.
