This is off topic, so sue me:
Carl Benjamin being particularly articulate.
What I like most is the return of the side-scrolling skyline behind the busted head of Sargon of Akkad. It's a callback to 2016. Good times. Remember when the Egyptian amphibian god Kek went up against the Babylonian Moloch? That was awesome.

Episode 2743 on or about 36:00 Scott goes after NGOs.
There're non-governmental organizations that are not funded by USAID (the Militia) but anything that's called an NGO is pretty much in on the grift.

"You'll get what you want, but not how you want it"-- Rudyard Lynch
[Read the text walls]
Quote:
...things are about to get really ugly I've explained why I believe that in about a
dozen videos the only way we can survive is if we embrace the struggle the world gets really ugly and there won't be a
solution for a while suffering is part of the human condition and systems can't get you out of it sometimes life is just
horrible and you have to suffer for a while until things get better don't beat yourself up too much about it the system
won't be able to save you going forward and get used to that the system is gradually failing all of us at everything secondly is that our society has siphoned itself off from the rest of the Human Condition[and] we wonder
where meaning is and the short answer is everywhere except here we've established a purposeful ghetto of meaninglessness and if we can reconnect with the rest of the human condition we will find a reason to live the way to do this is to
realize nothing about the world we live in is reasonable and life itself is a biological process we separate ourselves
in the physical excitement of Life due to our addiction to safety and control we live in a world as incredible as any
fantasy or sci-fi story we just have to accept it except that we're a bunch of crazy monkeys who don't know what we're
doing and that life is pretty dope All Things Considered

Scott tears into climate models.
The 'heat island effect' is the least of the problems. How about there are 9000 weather stations, but they cherry-pick 1200 and estimate others that are missing.

I have less interest in determining my confidence level in global temperature reading than he does. People who live in a local place should trend local patterns and plan an optimal course into the future.

Bob Dylan penned a hit song from the same material.
Quote:
Johnny's in the basement mixin' up the medicine
I'm on the pavement, thinkin' about the government
The man in the trench coat, badge out, laid off
Says he's got a bad cough, wants to get it paid off
|
"badge out, laid off Says he's got a bad cough"? Future proves the past?

I'm still catching up from travels, family (me) illness, and grandmother dying (my last grandparent).
Figure I'll hype my own post from another forum here-
Quote:
Steven Hawking was capable of moving a muscle in his cheek as computer input, which allowed him to communicate how the universe works with the rest of us. A guy who slobbers on himself and is completely dependent on others was worth millions, sold many books, and expanded the frontiers of physics. I'd rather be confined to a useless body and perform to maximum potential than to have a fully functional one and resign myself to uselessness.
|
This was a response to "childless cat lady".
Some people with their fully functional body manage to feed cats, while others with a nearly useless body manage to feed the frontiers of physics.
My grandmother was an unlikable childless dog lady. She has few redeeming qualities, though was most likable among my 3 grandmothers. I love and miss her, but the funeral will be poorly attended. She was fond of me, and it's not clear to me why. Maybe because I took time to chat and pet her dog.

Glad we didn't lose you too.
I went to the manager and had her recite the park rules on cats. There are four. My neighbors are in violation of all four (the one that surprised me is that cats outside need to be on a leash).
The p**p i have to pick up in my yard every day comes into the park in 20lb bags.
I have serious concerns about toxoplasma gondii, and the katoonist is exploiting his pussies for thumbnails.

I have a question regarding a local (?) Phenomena: county has rules about picking up after your animal in public/parks/trails. People do that, but leave their full plastic bag. I don't understand that process. Must be an offering to some deity or method of civil disobedience.

Never understood that either. They already did the gross part, and the bag had to be placed somewhere, so why not in the trash bin?
