Tesla will be hiring hundreds a week for the next few months and will be operating 24/7 in order to make production goals. Once they are operating at economies of scale they should finally make a profit. https://jalopnik.com/tesla-switching...del-1825335216

Ha ha stopped production AGAIN. Going to be hard to make the numbers that way.
Can you say Tucker?
Seriously, I want them to succeed. I want them to make so many cars that regular people without the ¢%&£¿€® tesla attitude outnumber the snobs.

Well, the stop is not caused by problems; they could have continued building at the same rate as they do now.
But they want to increase production for which they need to adapt the production line. Apparently they cannot upgrade it when it is operating.
And their approach works.
Last time they hit a barrier at 1000 cars a week.
They stopped and adapted the lines, then beat 2000 cars a week for 3 weeks in a row.
Now they find another limit, and will address it to get to 4000 a week by May and 6000 in the end of June.
6000 a week by the end of June is actually more than what their January target projected for 7/1/2018.
This is the first time Tesla increases their Model 3 production target, even if just by 1000 cars a week.

I hope they are successful enough to build a Leaf killer! Then someone on here might be able to afford one!

RT: Apple could buy Tesla and both companies could come out winners
Quote:
Tesla’s current market value is hovering around $51 billion, while Apple is sitting on a pile of cash of around $285 billion. So, from a financial perspective, the iPhone maker could definitely afford to acquire the struggling electric car producer.
[John Sculley:] “If they chose to buy a big company I am sure they would only do it with a product that was intended to be revolutionary in a large addressable market - so an automobile maker like Tesla would certainly meet that criteria.”

I guess you all dont recall the days of DOS command lines. Apples didnt sell all that well until they got s decent GUI.

Apple didn't sell well until they gave them to schools for free and got consumers in training comfortable with the quirky and expensive stuff.
I use DOS commands on a daily basis.

hot lap
Tesla Model 3 on a race track.
The supposed owner commented on Jalopnik that the brake pads were next to useless and ruined (chunks coming off) after 3 laps.
