hey xxx,
here was the welcome you got
"Welcome!
why ruin the ride quality?
Have you done any of the 65 things recommended?
65+ Vehicle modifications for better fuel economy - EcoModder.com"
"

You on the other had gave a xxxhole answer and then retracted it.
your right, not a lesser site....just a lessor person.

Why are you having to spend 5 posts explaining (and trying to justify) your lame first post?
Why are you so thin skinned that you have to jump a guy with the same car you have who asked a valid question.
FACT: go to any car forum and say 'cut springs' ...... loser.
FACT: ask someone with a similar car where his sweet spot is......good question.
just sayin.....
you've pretty much defined youself......

My intent was not to start a pissing contest, but by saying that you have nothing more to learn/adjust with your driving when you're only a paltry 26% above EPA ratings is just ignorant.

By the way, I don't pulse and glide; I don't coast with my engine off; and I drive the posted speed limits on the highways.
Well then, you have my apology.

I totally believe we all have room for improvement. However, I am already doing all I am not willing to do in order to improve my economy. I am happy with how I drive now, and could not do anything to improve it without risking the lives of the occupants in my vehicle. Have you ever been up here? AH! These people are friggin nuts! Before we even moved here, I had my driver-side mirror taken off by an idiot that passed me in the middle turn lane in a school zone, with his kids in the car. BWAH?!

I dont care if you invented the internet.....
a newbee is a new poster to a forum.

you logic is flawed....that's a given.
So here we are on page two and you have yet to respond to the valid suggestions that have been made concerning cutting springs......(that is so ricer...)
Which goes to some basic personal issues on your part.
And your grammer is flawed, but you do not see me being an ass-hat to you about it... Or maybe I am... Hrmm...

I agree that cutting springs is pretty ricey. However, the intent to which the mod would be done is not in the "ricey" category. I would not be doing it to obtain tighter handling or am expecting it in any way to improve my chances of taking on a '94 Honda Civic with a shark fin...

Remember one thing, pal: This is a LISTED mod on this web site. Therefore, it is a VALID modification. It is effective, be it to the most minuscule amount. But that is what eco-modding is all about.

It sounds to me like you need to seriously re-evaluate some of your comments. You claim that this site is "superior," yet you bag on one of the very modifications listed on said site... Sounds like you are confused.

Mr./Mrs. mcrews - I must have offended you in some way. And to that, I do not apologize. I do not need to explain myself, and don't see that I am "trying" to do so. I do, however, see a troll...

No problem. And I know Seattle well. And I might even know who took off your driver-side mirror.

Either way, I'd still encourage you to read up on some of the hypermiling techniques that are posted here. There are some really interesting gems that you might not have considered and that won't require you to change much with your driving style. That's been my experience, anyway.

Stop being a dick and help us out. You could have mentioned that you have prior knowledge from the other site, and you could have mentioned how you drive. These will help us give you a more relevant answer.

We're suggesting easy things to do like a grille block that will help your engine warm up easier, a front air dam and mooth belly pan that will improve your aero, and other things that cost less than a large pizza.

The problem is that you came in asking whether you should lower your car. Perhaps a better question would be, "how can I improve my aerodynamics?" There are many, many easier ways to improve aero and FE for much cheaper than an (necessary) alignment will cost you. So we suggested them, the "low hanging fruit" over the lowering. Please consider our advice before bashing us. We're trying to help with the knowledge you provide.

"Help us help you".

Unless you're trolling, which seems increasingly likely.

Sven7,

I did not ask about how to increase my aerodynamics. I have considered grille blocks, and am actually planning on doing it when I have time, with some plexiglass.

I have done research. I do have plans. I was asking about one thing. Some people ignored it. Others did not. Some answered questions I did not ask.

Not my fault some made assumptions. One should never assume.

cant keep story straight on original relpys
leaves an xxx anwer to a new poster.
starts claiming to be a big expert ....but leaves lame first post.
