Almost all tuning bumbers are illegal so if the parts look like safe you are pretty safe with those on the road. Police don`t care most times and don`t have the skills to say which is illegal and what is not. That spoiler is my lupo picture is too much safety risk and when I put similar back I will get ticket sooner or later.

Price of a hobby I guess.

At last summer I had some mods, also Kamm too, small one, there was not much of interest from anyone else except those young males whom has poor facial hair growth and loud stereos

How stable that rear Kammback of yours have been at speed (not how stable car is, but spoiler in construction)?
I had rather small one, which had steel supports at sides, steel reinforcements at three places and top part was made from plywood. At motorway speeds at 120kph there started to be quite lot of movement, might be that angle was not quite optimal even it did help greatly with mileage, still I doubt that I could have gone much faster with that one before it would of teared itself to pieces.

Last week I got a long registration stamp on my Lupo, yahoo. 15 months if everything goes well.

Today laminated new hood. Lupo 3L aluminium hood weighted 9 kg with gas spring. If you remove also the highes and locks from the body you get close to 10 kg total weight.

Now the estimated weigth for this hood is under 5 kg, but well see that more accurately when I take it off from the mold.

I also laminated new smooth undertray from glasfiber. The current 3mm abs version is over 20 kg... This new one should be about 7 kg.

Check the pictures on facebook.

First made a tool with gelcoated glasfiber from original hood. and then took gelcoated part out of it.

REason:

Saves weight 5 kg and I dont want to ruin the original hood because I will need it for inspections. There will be coming cooling exit like in WRC cars and maybe something else also, if money situation allows whose mods.

Hello Guys,

Now the Polo 9N with OEM-Software (130HP/310NM) and long OEM-Gearbox figures at the moment round about 4,4L/100km. (Tyres: 195/55 R15 Michelin Engergy Saver on A3 8L lightweight rims).
OEM car weight: 1280kg with driver (EU-norm)
My custom car weight is at the moment: 1090kg with driver (EU-norm)
Specs:
-interior all out
-sparco lightweight seats (each 7,2kg) ...nor rear seats
-deleted: climatronic, fans for the engine, DWA, SWRA, etc.
-leightweigt pc fan for interior
-big FMIC (Ibiza Cupra)
-EGR tune
- ... and so on

I have glued my front windows to closed position and took out the window lifting mechanism. It was about 1-1.5 kg.

Lower side door cover 1 kg

Door speaker 0.6 kg

Rear windscreen wiper system 1 kg

rear door panel 1 kg

Radio + cd player total weight 2.5-3 kg

I have drilled that undertray straight thrugh the underside with self tapping screws. They has already started to rust in finnish winter beceuse there is salt laid to the roads so not very wise if you plan to keep the car longer. My lupo 2L will live only 1.2 years max so it does not matter.

I have put exhaust pipe insulation to the downpipe but on the underside you dont need it at least with my lupos power and speeds driven.

New exhaust pipe is also at place.

How long did it take to remove the dash and what is the correct disassembly order?

I should put the thermo tape to end of the car, because my TDI engine has little bit more thermal energy.

Only the dash? ....at first time not more than one hour. But I removed all to delete my Climatronic and I cleaned the cable loop. I also replace the fan. I install one of the biggest pc fans. (ony 400g and 0,5A).

Do you have installed the elctrical water pump?
What do you think about air duct from the front of the car to the end. So you could increase the pressure on the "air" base on back door.
