Was past time to deal with the results of the leak in my Echo. Pulled up the mat and sucked the water out of the padding. Got about half a gallon out of it before I called it quits on that method, and switched over to having a heater blow warm air over it.
Haven't been able to find the source of the leak. She could sit out in the rain for weeks and still be dry. Then I go and start using it regularly and the carpet eventually came up wet.
Think I found it though! There's a rubber plug right in the area affected most. It shifted and actually lifted up a bit when I was sucking the water off it! The darn thing shrunk so much it can slide side to side by nearly quarter of an inch, and lift up maybe an eight. My current theory is that the waster is being pushed up around it while driving.
Gonna seal that and the other plug under there real good when it's dry!

I charged my used 2017 Volt at a free charging station.Walked back home and after four and one half hours walked back to pick it up.The car drives very quietly. The car handles very well and is peppy for a hybrid.I would like to ask if anyone has had to have a car transported a long distance and if they could recommend a carrier.Distance is about 1200 miles from Cleveland Ohio to Gainesville Florida. The car is a 2000 Honda Insight.Thank you ahead of time.

I saw the opportunity to test the top speed of my car yesterday, and reached 192 km/h (120 mph) real speed. Thanks to those extra horses and some aerodynamic changes.
This summer there will be another 'test' with the removed roof rails, the improved rear bumper, tires at 45 psi (instead of the current 36) and some higher temperatures/better wheather conditions. In addition to that 90 MPG mark, it would also be nice to hit 200 km/h (125 mph) with the three-cylinder diesel. Although, it's not easy to overcome another 5 mph at those speeds ...

Aside from moving it to clear snow, I haven't driven my car in about two weeks. Nothing new to report here. Boring, sorry!

Same here plan on my high MPG low RPM 383 for my 93 Custom Chevy Van G20 and the future add on Overdrive and rear end.
And plan on my customizing my 03 Ford Crown Vic and doing some MPG tuning on it.
Other wise just dreaming and sitting.

Spliced a 92-00 Civic radiator into my Insight. It was cheaper than the stock unit and considerably more capable. Required some cutting.

Smart. I avoided a tow guy's sales pitch when my wife called the truck for her dead battery in her Forester. Her battery was so dead her auto door unlock would not let her in. The tow truck guy charged up the battery and offered to sell a replacement for $175. I passed on the new battery on the theory that a 2 year old battery will recover with a good charge. (Oh, and I found the tailgate dome light that had been left on!) Kept it running for an hour or so and did some errands. It has been firing up better than usual for three days. I wonder how long that light had been on?

We have LEDs for all interior lights in our cars. I found I'd left my dome light on over a weekend recently, but it fired right up Monday morning.
