YKYAEM when getting stuck on a sandy beach with the ocean tide threatening to swallow your car you can't help but wonder about the impact the attempts to get out of the sand will have on that trip's FE. Oh, and the pain of letting air out of the tires to gain more traction!!!

The first thing you notice about this picture is that he has only gone about 2 miles and is on empty... on a motorcycle

(point of picture is the unsafe cell phone holder)

Or think "damn, he made a kilotank on a motorcycle "
then "if he is on em.com he will discover that he can't register his kilotank with one digit after the point "

YKYAEMI

... when your abomination of a full size Buick w/a V6 engine(that you REALLY wish you could afford to drive something more efficient... and ah... agile than...) decides to run on 4.5 cylinders instead of 6--and you are pleased about it--because its MPG jumps substantially... even if it has lost all its pep...
(Despite the... horrible brain drilling sound.)

I have run though that idea several times on long drives

You know you're an ecomodder when 60 mph (~100 km/h) feels "fast".

If only I could get away with going 40 everywhere. Maybe having to go 50-60 mph to keep up on the highways everywhere here is bad, but at least I can spend a lot of time in overdrive.

60 did seem really fast when I started driving after only riding a bicycle for a while!
