The north pole will have little effect, as the ice is floating in water it will weigh and displace the same as it would when molten.
But then the ice on Greenland will start melting unstoppable, and that will cause a sea level rise by several meters when completed.
The south pole is a different matter: 58 meters of sea level rise if that melts. That won't happen in a hurry, but even if it spreads out over several centuries it will be a disaster.

I believe that the Arctic,Greenland ice sheet,and Antarctica are good for 240-feet of sea level rise,plus continental rebound effects,then thermal expansion if we continue to warm.Sweet!

looks like the two plates displace around 4-inches/year between them.For the 1,000-mile length of the State,we'd be looking at around 25,000,000 years to bifurcate California.

Concerning cities at risk... who is unable to flee from water that rises at 2mm per year  ?
Leftists should be cheering sea level rise anyhow since it's those evil rich people who live on beachfront property.
