There's a lot of backstory here I don't get. Were it faked, how explain the unmanned missions that crawl all over the Moon before and since. Fake and g*y?

Any explanation I would accept would include the Yugoslavian Space Program that JFK bought a month before his big speech. Marshall Tito was in competiion with Stalin, but sold the tech to the USofA since the ex-n*zis the Air Force was employing were in cahoots with the Bolsheviks.

OTOH, Werner Von Braun allegedly told someone the final gaslight was 'aliens'. And here we are....

Do you believe in Anthropogenic Climate Boiling? Because I do -- but it's root is not technological, but political.

This year it was Canada's turn for Antifa arsonists. [study it out]

sputnikglobe.com/20230803/: Raging Canadian Wildfires Account for 25% of Global Carbon Pollution

The Canadian wildfires have put twice the amount of carbon into the atmosphere in the first seven months of 2023 as all of Canada did in 2022. GFASV1.2 daily total cumulative estimated carbon emissions for Canada since 1 January (red line shows 2023 up to 1 August, thick black line shows 2003-2022 mean, and grey dashed lines show the other years in the dataset).

Trite because it is true.

I was watching a video about the Moon landing {clickbait using JP quotes] and at the end it sequed to Operation Paperclip, so I swore and kilt it. I'd posited at #1241 that the N*azis were sabotauging the Air Force launches.

Just now I searched and found that 7 days ago the whole Houston, We Have A Problem was upped. One day after my post #1241.

The subttiles, they do nothing.

Heck, I'm not much of a prepper, but even I'm starting to take some very basic precautions for the 1% chance that the world gets nuked. I've got about a 1 year supply of food; enough for dad to plant crops and bring in a harvest to sustain us.

IF unabated global warming is a big problem, it's a minimum of 250 years out, probably much longer. I get that the problem develops prior to catastrophe manifesting, but technological capability 250 years from now will be insanely better.

Research suggests humanity will continue to enjoy a net-benefit from warming until 2080, at which point continued warming will slowly accrue a net-negative. That's my entire life benefiting from warming right there.

While I don't subscribe to the catastrophist take on global warming, I do hear reasonable concerns with regard to scarcity (especially energy) causing everything to become more expensive. Naturally, we mine all the low hanging fruit first, and further mining produces decreasing minerals for increasing expenditures of energy.

This guest predicts a contraction of energy (which is the same thing as wealth) in the not distant future. He believes people will sort themselves into 4 categories:

1. Cornucopians - Technology will solve problems
2. Vikings - Take what you can from others
3. Preppers - Leverage available resources and cope with intermittent power, grow own food
4. Arcadians - Looks forward hundreds of years to develop sustainability on those time scales

He believes harmony between Preppers and Arcadians is what's necessary. I probably identify as a combination of Cornucopian and Prepper.
