My first supervisor for the agency for which I worked back in Tempe absolutely refused to observe me--a critical component of her job description.
She was legally required to observe 10% of my sessions.
Of course she never said no, she just ignored me, like the one time that I finally got her to commit to observing me, but never answered the phone when I tried to see where she was.
I look forward to seeing how that was my fault.
I am still in touch with her replacement, who still writes me letters of recommendation. That supervisor told me that her predecessor wasn't with the company any longer.

The paper and concept is interesting - the Youtube video is horrible. Just some guy droning on in a slow monotonous voice were zero benefit is gained by the video format (the whole point of a video is to show visual images that add to the discussion). He didn't even bother to frame the chart so it can be read by his audience.
Instead of wasting 15 minutes of one's life on that video, the entire concept can be read here in about 2 - 3 minutes. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlo_M._Cipolla

Thanks. Agreed. I sometimes follow up elsewhere, but not in this case.
The entire graphic is pretty much self-explanatory.

Take-away is that there are stupid people sprinkled about everywhere in society and there isn't any particular demographic that is excluded.
Stupid people create problems for themselves and for society, and are more dangerous than thieves who benefit themselves at the expense of society. This is because thieves are rational and their behavior can be predicted by understanding incentives, and therefore their cost to society can largely be mitigated.
Stupid people do not act rationally or respond to incentives normally, and therefore their actions cannot be efficiently mitigated.

What's worse -- if you make something idiot-proof, they just make a better idiot.

People that think they have made something idiot proof misjudged the ingenuity of said idiots. 2nd law of engineering design

Instead it is simply impossible to anticipate every idiotic possibility.
I feel like this is a newb versus pro situation, like that guy who dyed his hair green in an attempt to get attention after his failed bid for governor.
I made arrangements on-line to meet a lady for breakfast. When I got her number it was out-of-state. She obviously just wanted my money! What could I do?! I was starving and there wasn't any food in my hotel room! I went ahead and the lady brought me my waffles.
What do I do with the bag of knives and forks?!
I have been up since 0730, but it is after 0930, they just closed what passes for breakfast at Best Western nowadays, and my brother is still sleeping. I am sure that Greenhead would say that a newb would order Door Dash for $58.37.
A professional would wake up his brother, have him get dressed in-time, and eat the provided breakfast--even if it is terrible and my brother doesn't want to eat it.
I don't sleep well. Why should I interfere with my brother's rest?

I have a strong sense where Xist places on that 2-axis graph.
Regarding skilled vs unskilled, it's a catch 22. The way you become skilled at something is to have survived through being unskilled. We live in a risk-averse society, so fewer people have the chance to attempt becoming skilled because we coddle them.
Eventually we produce useless people who rely extensively on technology to make up for their ineptitude.

Quorum no longer offers 0.6% interest. It is now down to 0.35%. I found a few places offering 0.5 or 0.55, but I still get 0.25% from Navy Federal.
Min-maxing is great and all, but an extra $2.50-3.00 per thousand dollars per year?
However, I could get a whopping 0.4% in a Navy Federal money market account!

It's time to tax Mario coins." While Yellen assured the public this tax would only affect the very rich, critics warn that this could cause rich people to stop playing Mario altogether. Democrats have responded to this criticism by proposing legislation that would require rich people to play at least 5 hours of Mario per day.
