Thats me giving it gas.its been warming up idle for bout 10 minutes.temp gauge generally stays pretty low but definetely works.

going to definetely attempt to clean the egr valve out tommorrow see if that helps at all.did clean out the tubing from the intake to head of engine.(dont know what thats called) still having same issues

I've never installed a vacuum gauge or really ever used one before. Is it fairly simple to install?

this is one I'm looking at now. looks like it would be decent enough to use? or any other suggestions.

That would work but it requires instilation. Run wires for lights and run a tube for vacuum.

I have a couple of these. Just hook up for diagnose.

heres a pic of what im lookn at. all the shine and glimmer is what im talking about.

Its the one right in the middle of the pic. At the very bottom is the drain. Looks like you need an axle seal. Slinging and wet. I need both of mine as well. Use some brake cleaner clean it down short drive then inspect. Go to Hondahookups download the fsm for usdm 92-95. I'll answer any and every question. As for the temp gauge you should readore than that at idle it will take forever to rise. Check the coolant level and possibly replace themostat.

the radiator leaks a little at the very bottom i havent had the chance to check it out yet. the temp gauge starts out low and rises up not too bad. im pretty sure it still works. but thanks on the axle seal idea.is it the axle shaft seal? ima definetely check out fixing that sometime in the near future.then the radiator. i cleaned out the egr valve today and replaced the gasket on it as well. i need to find another bolt for the egr valve only one of the 2 bolts is bolting it on at the moment.

you said you had a grind in your transmission, right? if that oil is from the transmission then you might have found your problem! new seals are $9 to $15 each, depending where you get them from and the axle is easy to pull out by pulling apart the lower ball joint on the steering knuckle then with a large flat screw driver pry the axle out of the transmission, pry the seal out and tap the new one in with a mallet and block of wood, right above/behind the axle you can see the fill plug for transmission oil, fill it while the car is level until oil drips out that fill hole, again, only use Honda MTF or motor oil, never GL5 gear oil, 0W30 motor oil is what I find works best in Honda transmissions.

Use Honda MTF, it's not much more expensive than motor oil.

I've been using Mobile One in my engine.

I'm running Royal Purple 5w30 in the transmission. It was about $8 cheaper than Honda MTF. I have read on - Bob is the Oil Guy that there are anti-wear agents in the Honda MTF that will not be in motor oil. That's convincing to me that the MTF might be significantly better over time, and so I plan to switch back to it once I do the probable transmission swap this winter.
