Keeps getting better!
My experience with lean burn is it feels like the car starts to glide, almost like it shifts to another gear.
I really like the throttle lever, the hx did not come with cruise control and to be honest I do miss being able to stretch out.
I believe you could make it simpler and use a brake handle from a bicycle and use that same line tensioning system. It would just need to be spring tensioned so that when you are using the pedal the line doesn't get slack in it. But then again using a lever is probably much easier than using your wrist to squeeze a handle

I know a guy with an HX a few years newer than mine. He has cruise control.

You are correct, the WAI is a Y made from a 2 1/2 " exhaust cut out with a manual lever to switch from cold to hot air.
Above is a detailed write up my son, ecoTex did here at ecomodder with all the details

That's how redneck did his hand throttle, I think donkey's design is a little more "bullet proof"
check them out and compare: http://ecomodder.com/forum/showthrea...yle-26101.html

You're right though, lever with a lock would be the safest especially if you have a nosy passengers who likes to grab things or something shifts in cabin and I drop a heavy object on the bike handle lever

Yeah not sure why they added it on the short lived seventh gen. I've seen a few throttle lock style cruise systems but hand controlled seems more efficient and fun for long drives

If I understand correctly, your belly pan is coroplast painted black, supported by aluminum strips, and bolted to the frame. I'd like to do at least a partial belly pan, but need to find a safe way to jack up the car in my driveway. In the meantime I'll try to screw the side skirts to the molding and hope that they hold.

I have a suggestion. You could get some 2x12s that are the length of the car, make some ramps to drive onto them, and use those to raise your car so you can crawl under it...

Just added the 94 VX to the fuel Log
Since the Red Mule 92 VX is in the shop for upgrades, I will be driving the White 94 VX for several weeks, so I decided to start tracking it's MPG.
I posted the first tank today in the fuel log.

Nice looking car...
And, a very impressive 1st tank result with the limited amount of mods done to the car.
To me, it shows that it's more about adjusting the "nut behind the wheel" than anything else.
Good job...!!!
