Safety only inspection (air is safety over inflation has a history of explosives rim failure not commen) reg and ins in some places means you meet equipment ie all required is equipped and gas emission levels are exceptable
With this said if you are lucky enough to live in a nonCARB/EPA TESTING regen or your rig is old enough like my 91 diesel
Its a. "OPEN SHOW" run what you brung.
This sounds fun. Hope I can make it this year.
If i do make it could i run 2 times. An A B TEST 1without airo mod in stock class and 2 in mod class with airo modds. Do you think this is possible? I expect that it will cost 2x but thats ok

Inspection checks all exterior lights and tire pressure, and may check tire size. They might check wipers; I can't recall. They do allow a few pounds increase in tire pressure from driving up to the event. That is, I had entered as "Modified Production", so the limit was 50 psi. The inspector's gauge showed 52; he said that was fine because when cold the tires would have been several psi less - which is a true statement.
Of course if you enter as Stock Production, you can't show up with aero panels added all over your car. Stickers, decals, and even added instrumentation don't count as modifications, so far as I know.

It's as brucepick has outlined above. My 1st year it seemed like everything was checked pretty good: all four tires (air pressure), handbrake, all lights (tail, turn, brake, headlights) the wiper, & horn. It doesn't take too long really and adds to the overall experience!

gumby79, the schedule at the GGP is pretty packed. Any given car can run in up to two events, that's it. However, each event is about two hours of drive time. Take a look at their site (greengrandprix.com), go to the "Schedule" link.
The run on the Watkins Glen track is about two hours of driving time, and the time-speed-distance rally on state and local roads is also about two hours. There's a third equally long event, exclusively for Priuses. Add some time for the formalities of registration, inspection, Drivers' Meeting, and fillups before/after the events. It's a very full day.

What other GGP type events are available as to long days behind the wheel. "Racing" is not like hwy driving. Agreed. Just thought it would be a exlant ab test for airo. But all at once eliminated that idea. Good luck to all. Is their a ton mpg comparisons made ro level the playing field ?

You. Have a "race only" rig NOT STREET LEGAL as per the EPA /CAEB:
1. No cat in down pipe as per your garage profile NOT CARB approved as wouldNOT pass visual smog inspection.if it cant pass that it is for off-road (race) use only
2. HAI/CAI is it off the shelf CARB # xxxx or as mying will be home made custom as "I" want it. If no sticker Exhibition class required because not street leagal. Can it pass an enhanced smog test(underload on a dino) with the hot air intake active or are the NOXX too high from an over heated communication temp too far above 2500°f
Theas Questions is for all ecomodders ,me inclided
If someone frome the GGP could pipe in that would be kool as well
I'm not trying to single out any one modder.
Thanks in advance

1. I have 2 cats. The factory design was a pre-cat and cat on each side. I bought new cats after the old ones crapped out. Since catalytic converters have become more advanced, the new design only included the cats; no more pre-cats. These were ordered from Walker through Advance Auto. Totally legal (I've had them on the car for 7 years now)
2. I'm reverting back to a factory intake. It's actually from an 04 Police Interceptor. They cam with larger 80mm MAF and larger airboxes from the factory.
No problem bringing this up. I'm sure other folks had similar questions.
I hope you can make it this year!
