Motorcycle is a bit more fun than the FUV. Bad weather certainly makes riding less appealing.
My recent obsession is electric unicycling, which is very frustrating when beginning during the Oregon winter season. Whenever a sliver of sunshine pokes through, my thought goes instantly to the EUC.
...speaking of it, not currently raining and about 20 min of usable light left. I'll be back.

Riding motorcycles is fun. Having to ride a motorcycle is crappy weather isn't fun. (I rode a bike year-around for 3 years) Proper gear made it tolerable but not enjoyable.

My experience with a less than 100% weatherproof, fun vehicle (MPGiata) is that it has shifted my perspective on what I would have thought was "suitable" convertible weather.
I'm now that guy who puts the top down in early November if it's sunny and 10C / 50F out. (Any colder than that and I risk not being able to close the roof again ... the old vinyl shrinks and is prone to cracking if cold.)
Then again, it has a heater. I didn't ride my motorcycle much in the cold.

Cold isn't that bad on a motorcycle with proper gear. 60 - 75 degrees is about perfect to me. Much warmer than that and riding in proper gear gets hot and sticky. With heated gear temperatures into the 30's aren't bad.
The issue for me is rain. Both reduced visibility from riding in road spray and getting to my destination in soaking riding gear.

I don't like a fogged visor, and I don't like swarms of bugs. Never rode in snow because that would be dumb (coming from me that means it's very dumb). Everything else is doable, but 100 degree heat sucks.

Rain, fogged visors, bugs, too hot for leathers? Sounds like you need an FUV.

Yup - motorcycle gear is a hassle. I wore it, but I'd rather drive a FUV or a topless cage.

I think the ideal wold be an FUV with an optional helmet with Bluetooth speakers and it's own rear-view mirror system for longer drives.
I have a black-on-black letterman's jacket from when I worked at La Cie. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LaCie.

Rain - The FUV doesn't have doors so you still get wet in the rain if you don't wear waterproof gear
Fogged visors - It is a motorcycle so it still requires a helmet.
Bugs - yes the windshield blocks the bugs
Too hot - I'm hot behind the fairing on my motorcycle - I can only image being behind that huge windshield.
I would still have to wear gear on the FUV - ask UTV riders what happens to arms and legs that leave the confines of the roll cage. I'm a little surprised that Arcimoto is even selling this without at least half doors after the lawsuits and retrofits to UTVs to keep legs inside the vehicle during a crash.

Not fashionable but also not a hassle. It goes on / off in about 10 seconds.

Your thinking of it wrong, it's not an unsafe car, it's a safer motorcycle. It's definitely unsafe compared to any other 2021 car, but it's much safer than any other 2021 motorcycle.
They will get sued sooner or later when somebody's high school aged daughter and her friend gets crushed in a head on, rollover, collision with tree, etc at that max speed even if the injuries would have been worse if they did it on a motorcycle.
A family over here won tens of millions against Hyundai on a 10 year old car with over 100,000 miles on it when possibly a steering part broke and killed some kids in a head on. It wasn't even clear that part broke before the collision but a jury sees a grieving family and a multi billion dollar corporation and just wants to help the family.
People die and corporations get sued, that's how it works no matter who's to blame.
