Thanks Weather Spotter. Is there a thread with pics of the swap perhaps? I like that kind of stuff.

Traveled the 311 miles to TangoCharlies' place and used a bit more fuel than I thought it should have. After a bit of investigation, found one of my newly rebuilt injectors leaking around the body. Tried resealing the body of the injector, but no such luck. I happened to bring one of my old injectors, installed it, and no more leak...on that injector, anyway. #3 is leaking a bit also. Not as much as #1 was, but I still need another one. I'll continue to Varns tomorrow with hopefully, better mileage.

Had a good afternoon, otherwise. We had a coast down test from a dead stop, which I lost. And a test from 55, which I lost. I don't like these H-rated tires. Turns out Spotter's LRR tires are H-rated also.

TC took some tuft videos of everyone's cars including arcosine's. I forgot to have him(arcosine) sign my car. I'm getting all ecomodders who come in contact with the car to sign it. Sorry Tony.

Pics will have to wait a bit. Sorry.

Feel free to post pics here TC, Spotter, Tony,...

Is it possible the leak is coming from somewhere along the fuel line and only showing at the injector?

I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

That was our first thought, but we all came up with the same thing. it leaks. Replacing the injector and no leak = bad injector.

Man, we just missed each other - I passed through Indiana on Friday.

Of course, I was driving a bone-stock '92 Colt Vista and hustling to get home in TN before dinnertime, so it's not like I was 'modding or even hypermiling, but still...

It would've been cool to see your over-the-top ride on the road.

Can't wait to hear how she does on the salt!

Don't be too hard on Jethro for having the windows open and disrupting the airflow. It was a very warm day!
