I'm still going, but I just told my 10 year old daughter that your car won't make it. She's bummed too. I love your attitude about it. Thanks for the inspiration to make this trip!

I'll see whoever makes it, I hope, at the various events.

And I would love to come from the other direction and meet you all at the 2013 trip. Maybe I can have a full belly pan built by then.

Ken, you're more than welcome to pitstop here. I tried to text, but the cellphone bill hasn't been paid lately. Hopefully you see this, I'll PM you too.

Ken, I'm bummed but glad you're keeping your chin up.

If you have any doubt about that clutch getting you home, look into changing it out there. I know you're up to the job. Better to do it in a friend's driveway than end up on the side of the road, is my guess.

Thanks Mom for notifying me. (Yes that really is my Mom)

California98Civic- Looking at the stars in a location would have been great. I used to have the huge fold out National Geographic map of the Moon on my wall as a teenager.

Bruce- Having a great time win/lose/or draw. I did splurge on a FAN for the HOT summer nights we've been having out here.

Frank- Long ways away, but definitely not out of the question. I'll certainly have it running better by then

Made it safely to TC's( MANY MANY thanks!!!!). Car is running well despite the leaking injectors. Fuel mileage is in the mid 60's. I'll update my fuel log later. I wanted a second fill to see if things were way out of whack, but seem to be fairly consistent.

I'm quite pleased with the trip so far, in that I've been able to drive everywhere and not been towed and got to meet some really great people.

The clutch hasn't slipped( that I've noticed anyway, cement roadways are quite noisy and I don't have a tach) and should get me home easily. I've driven a few vehicles with slipping clutches in my time. I'm going to change my route a little, as going West to East through Troy, NY is about 5 miles of uphill stop lights. I'll go around the bottom of VT through Mass. Same mountains but no stop signs.

Laundry is being done and grilling is taking place.

Please feel free to post any and all pics from Bonneville here.

Thanks again everyone.

departing tomorrw

I'm not ready,but I'm heading out tomorrow,two days late,come what may.
If I make it I'll be thinking of all who'd be there if they could.
I've been drawing a lot of energy from the work of all members, and it's helped sustain me through the delightful N.Texas weather and all the sleeping in over the last couple of weeks. Thanks to all!
I'll be at about 75% 'Template' 'n we'll see what the troposphere thinks about that.(tropos-fear)
I'll work in motel parking lots along the way.I've got chewing gum, bailing wire, and lots of duct tape.
And I'll be thinking of next year as well. There's a bunch of rascals I'd like to meet!
I'll check in when time permits.

What day and time do you plan on going through Mass? I'd like to see your car in person as you pass through, it'll give me inspiration i'm sure for my future modding endeavors. Will you pass through Williamstown or North Adams? I won't take up any of your time at all.
