The defense has hundreds failed predictions, dozens of papers proven to be fabrications or just wrong, contradicting papers, multiple instances of scientific misconduct, at least 3 large scale attempts to manipulate data.
All they have to do is prove that the house of man made global warming believers are a bunch of incompetent liars and they have no chance of winning.

When I heard about children who aren't old enough to vote calling for the immediate abrogation of a Constitutional Amendment (the Second) I was reminded of the Children's Crusade*.

EITHER the original apocryphal tale, with the Mediterranean failing to part on command so they could walk to Jerusalem, so they accepted a ride from the friendly stranger in the black sailing ship.

OR the modern revisionist theory that has them being poors driven by economic migration. Snared in the slave markets of Tunisia!

Big difference between a little warming and great harm.

Great harm would be if any of all the failed climate predictions had came true.
A little waming could be and probably is mostly natural.

We can't expect to win a suit against the oil companies just because WE (our whole civilization) has developed to be completely dependent on fossil fuel to avoid a complete collapse of everything we know and take for granted.

But on the other hand it could be argued that some of the profits should be allocated toward developing a path to a sustainable future of some sort.

Eventually the tragedy of the commons must end to consider resources to be world heritage commodities to be carefully shared and conserved. We are all stuck together on one planet.
