Jeremy Clarkson punched peirce Morgan in the face so hard he broke his hand.
He is a hero.
JeremyClarkson has been canceled before, multiple times, I don't even think he cares, maybe even expects it. I bet he would be more upset if no one tried to cancel him.

I'll miss Greta when she gets cancelled, not formally, but fading into irrelevance. She's been a vast source of entertainment. She'll probably end up doing something useful, as do most bright kids, eventually.

polar bear fur

I do believe also that the Polar bear's fur is an optical fiber that carries solar energy to it's black skin where it is absorbed.
Apparently, polar bear fur is non-transmissive in the infrared. Some UFO whack- jobs tried to sneak into AREA-51 / Papoose Lake at night, while wearing polar bear skins.
EG&G infrared sensors failed to pick them up, but the intruders hadn't considered their acoustic signatures, which EG&G sensors did detect.
A sphincter-contracting situation as, 'DEADLY FORCE IS AUTHORIZED' is clearly marked on all perimeter fencing.

Only useful idiots brain washed to the point where they can no longer tell the difference between fantasy and reality would still be listening to these perpetually wrong scientists.

Effects of Carrington-Scale Storms Creating Powerful Geomagnetically Induced Current on the US Power Grid
Quote:
Abstract
Geomagnetic storms are a common space weather phenomena and the probability of relatively powerful storms, like that of the Carrington Event in September 1859, hitting Earth in the near future is high. The Carrington Event’s coronal mass ejection (CME) caused the largest geomagnetic storm on record and was recorded to have caused severe disruptions in early communication technologies by creating powerful geomagnetically induced currents (GICs) in the surface of the Earth that were transmitted though the telegraphing infrastructure and caused sudden, permanent damage. Today, with so many vital functions of modern society in the US being handled entirely on the power-grid (from communications, to banking, to healthcare), extreme GICs caused by powerful CMEs have the ability to create permanent damage to and blackouts over massive areas in the US private and public power systems and could have severe implications for the homeland security of the US. This paper introduces the mechanics of such CMEs and GICs, analyzes the likelihood of a Carrington-like event occurring in the near future, and explores the implications of such an event using data and simulations from other studies in space weather and GICs conducted in Sweden and projections of the possible geoelectric field magnitudes for extreme GIC scenarios.

And that's why power lines have fuses and circuit breakers.

Have you thought about the time to replace them when they all blow at once? Manufacture, ship and install?

On a side note, as CR would say, Veritasium just put up The Big Misconception About Electricity. Which I'd first learnt from Eric Dollard - History and Theory of Electricity in 2013. I can't recommend the first half, the history, enough.

Circuit breaker and fuses do nothing to protect from very high induced line voltages. By the time the fuse or breaker trips the dielectric has already failed some where.
Th only chance to save the power grid wild be to open all circuits, isolating all large tramsformers install shorting wires on every poss power line. And I can tell you that's not going to happen.

Yeah, and depending on the situation, it may be that individual electric equipment will be damaged in situ, including the power plants themselves. Fuses and circuit breakers may not help a lot. Such an event could be a civilization disaster of untold proportions.

It's enough to make me consider a backyard garden, almost. :-)
