Thank you so much!!! I just want to let people know this hasn't been very easy. I have broke a lot of parts and had a ton of ideas that have been major failures. I have to say that its been a great adventure and a major learning experience.
If any of you live near me please feel free to contact me for a ride and I would love to share what I have learned.
regards,
Russell

I'm so jealous that you're getting fuel for free. There are a lot of reasons why it would be hard to do on my car, but I love the idea. Maybe when it gets a little older. Seriously, you've gotta make this your DD

I wish I could use the car more then I do. I haul paint supplies over 400miles on Wednesday and Thursday. Sometimes I use the Talon when the supplies will fit, but I have limited the amount I can take with the mid mount turbo box.
Even there are times my truck is almost not big enough.lol
I'm considering purchasing another Talon FWD manual with turbo. It will be a built as a fuel mileage specific car only. I have a ton of extra parts and can swap the ecu back in forth to what ever car I will be driving that day.

Installed decal to bring some more interest to this site and to let the local cops know the car is built to get fuel mileage and not just haul the mail.lol

Now I'm imagining using this rig to haul actual mail.

After going over some data logs I'm thinking I need more back pressure at light load freeway? Right now I'm at 1psi intake with .5psi exhaust back pressure. It did increase exhaust pressure with my new turbo compound system but not enough IMO.
I want to try 1psi intake with around 3psi back pressure. My thoughts are to increase the blow-down efficiency. After talking with some of the guys on the F1 Technical forum I think I could increase combustion efficiency by running a little more back pressure. Being my engine is a port injection and not direct injection I don't have the luxury of controlling the injecting timing event. So when my intake valve opens and comes off its seat the fuel is already there and I will lose some of it during cam overlap. I can adjust the cam gears with my adjustable cam gears and decrease the overlap but it will have to be set back when I want to make decent power.
Right now my Over Lap is 8 degrees @ .0394" which is pretty tight being a turbo engine. After reading some technical papers it looks like you can achieve around 8% blow-down recovery with a little back pressure or a negative engine delta p?
So my new plans are to start figuring out where my boost exhaust valve cut out will go??? This will reduce exhaust noise by running through a small muffler and at the same time increase back pressure at light load only. At WOT the e-cut out will open and by pass the muffler. This should give me around 3psi to play with.

Checked your fuel log and I am am reminded of your older build, that 3 stage vtec Civic you modded. You edited the ECU to get "ultra lean burn" at certain freeway cruise RPMs and edited other parameters to produce more power.
What is your ultra lean burn range now? I remember you were using a CX/VX transmission IIRC to keep RPMs down. But this car has pretty short gearing, no?
