Dr. Campbell's latest update speculates that somewhere between 2-3% of the population has antibodies for Coronavirus and are potentially immune. Significant spread and burden on healthcare is likely until 60% of the population has the antibodies. That suggests we're nowhere near over the hump on this thing.
Other points he brings up is that 33% of all deaths are attributable to Coronavirus.
Care homes have seen a doubling of the rate of death.
Hospital death rates are up 72%.
At home deaths are up 50%.

Scott Adams says he's waiting for one famous person (he'd heard of) to expire from the plague. Then he says he'd never heard of John Prine!
Major loss of respect. I feel sorry for Mr. Adams, but the music will never die.

You should be used to having a wider body of knowledge than most people by now. I didn't know of John Prine until you introduced him... for that matter I wasn't aware of Scott Adam's coffee chats until you introduced them.
Utter contempt for me!

S'okay. We've all got a lot to learn.
Have you heard of Steve Goodman? He passed in 1984.
Quote:
In 1974, singer David Allan Coe achieved considerable success on the country charts with Goodman's and John Prine's "You Never Even Called Me by My Name", a song which good-naturedly spoofed stereotypical country music lyrics. Prine refused to take a songwriter's credit for the song, although Goodman bought Prine a jukebox as a gift from his publishing royalties. Goodman's name is mentioned in Coe's recording of the song, in a spoken epilogue in which Goodman and Coe discuss the merits of "the perfect country and western song."

David Allen Coe?
Quote:
David Allan Coe (born September 6, 1939) is an American singer and songwriter.[3][4] His biggest hits were "Mona Lisa Lost Her Smile", "The Ride", "You Never Even Called Me by My Name", "She Used to Love Me a Lot", and "Longhaired Redneck". His most popular songs are the number-one hits "Would You Lay With Me (In a Field of Stone)" and "Take This Job and Shove It". The latter inspired the movie of the same name.

edit: on-topic:
No change in Lane County statistics in a week. 48 cases, one [suspected] death in total.

John Prine wasn't exactly a B lister.
Tom Dempsey, whose 63 yard field goal in 1970 is still the record.
Jazz legend Ellis Marsalis and (I never thought I'd see him mentioned in the same sentence) Joe Diffie.

7k cases in California but really believe that there are anywhere between 221,000 to 442,000 people who were infected.
Reporter 2:Really?
Reporter 1:Yeah
Reporter 2: So that makes it 0.1, to .3?
Reporter 2: Does the study (inaudible)
Reporter 1: Yeah it just came out today
Reporter 1: So it suggests that patient fatality rate is a tenth of what it seems to be
Reporter 3: Wow! Which puts its right in line with the flu
Yeah exactly. That’s what it is.
So its a hoax?
I don’t think it was a hoax

So there is a vaccine.
And
It’s not nearly as deadly as it was thought to be. ( Fractional)
Good news...
Right...???

And I'll bet Alex Jones is offering to sell the vaccine. That totally exists.

I'm not one that would typically entertain conspiracy theories. The 12-18 month timeline we're given for a vaccine includes the time it takes to incubate it in millions of chicken eggs and render it to the public. It's possible there are preliminary vaccines available that haven't undergone this mass manufacturing process, let alone the studies required to give confidence that they are adequately effective.
What I'm saying is there's some small chance that those who are in close proximity to the president may have been vaccinated with an early prototype. I don't think this actually is the case, but it's within the realm of reason. Mostly I doubt that possibility because the leftist reporters would not be able to contain such a juicy story that a vaccine is available, but Trump is withholding it from anybody not in his circle.
In general I figure secrets made between more than 1 person are more likely than not to become known to others. Heck, many criminals aren't able to keep a secret only know to themselves a secret.

Don't be a theorist, be an analyst.
Oregon adopted mail-in voting in 1998. Governor John Kitzhaber was perp-walked out of the office in 2015.
Quote:
On February 13, 2015, facing a federal criminal investigation, Kitzhaber announced his intention to resign as governor effective February 18.[4] Secretary of State Kate Brown succeeded him. In 2017, the federal government dropped its investigation against Kitzhaber without filing charges.[5] The Oregon ethics commission found 10 instances when Kitzhaber used his political office for personal gain. He agreed to pay a settlement fine of $20,000.

Paving the way for Kate Brown
Quote:
She became governor of Oregon upon the resignation of John Kitzhaber in 2015. She was elected to serve out the remainder of his gubernatorial term in the special election in 2016 and was reelected to a full term in 2018.
As an openly bisexual woman, Brown has made history several times through her electoral success. In 2008, she became the first openly LGBT person elected secretary of state of a state in the United States. In 2016, she became the first openly LGBT person elected governor of a state in the United States as well as the second woman elected governor of Oregon (after Barbara Roberts).[1][2]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kate_Brown#Criticism.
Add this: www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/heres-where-all-50-states-stand-reopening-their-economies: "Gov. Kate Brown issued an executive order directing Oregonians to stay at home that "remains in effect until ended by the governor."
That's helpful for planning purposes, right?
This is what mail-in voting gets you. The last really good governor in Oregon was Tom_McCall (1967-1975)

Whether or not Kitzhaber broke the letter of the law is inconsequential in my view. Best practice is to avoid even the slightest possibility of the appearance of impropriety, and especially when holding positions of authority. Women inspire men to make terrible decisions (not necessarily deliberately). Captains run cruise ships into the ground trying to showboat to girlfriends, metaphorically and literally speaking.
I'm not putting together the connection with conspiracy analysis though.
