The belt probably fits a Sentra too, or something.
Hardware store = grade 8 bolt. Auto parts store = grade 10 bolt ftw. But they won't have an M10 bolt that long, so I would get a dealer bolt eventually.
Flex pipe is suitably crappy, but I've always wanted to see an Insight with a glasspack exiting right behind the passenger door. I bet it would sound like a hybrid-electric motorcycle being driven very slowly.
Forgetting:
-interior?
-shakedown cruise

I was forgetting the waterpump belt, but I'll get get it from autozone soon.
I highly doubt the interior is going back in this car anytime soon.
I looked about 8 places for a bolt, including the tractor supply co, which has the best selection, but nothing longer than 80mm. So, I ended up using a standard bolt and rethreading it for 1.25. It's not the best solution, but it'll hold and I'll just get a dealership bolt sooner or later.
The flexpipe isn't good enough in this case. I basically need the exhaust to travel 6" down and 1' to the right to get it to meet up with the stupid other thing.
Anyway, we'll see. After I eat I'm driving out to pick up the HF knuckles, the belt, and some more bolts and junk. Then I'll attack!

get a big piece of pipe, weld caps on each end, flanges to match the manifold and OE exhaust flange, bolt it in.
Go back to tractor supply, they might have some scrap pipe... or hit up a tuner shop, check their scraps... even a tractor-trailer dealer/shop/truck stop might have something.

To the issue of the exhaust. Get an exhaust shop to make you a length of staight pipe with a bend in it, so you can drop down off your cat and just let it dump under your car for now. Your Catifold is just too short, I feel you might risk burning an exhaust valve or something else if you don't have some pipe on there. Then you can just drop it off at an exhaust shop or spend some time welding up a nice exhaust when you get to school.

I kind of figured it was like that, but he said 6" down and a foot to the left, so I thought of that... the pipe, being whatever diameter, would make most of the 6" drop in it's diameter (even at like 2.5" pipe, he could angle it slightly) and the flanges would allow it to span the 1 foot to the left and still bolt on to either side... it would probably take about 20 mins to make if he already had some pipe/sheet metal and a couple flanges that would fit.
Probably easier to have an exhaust shop weld up a custom exhaust, though. Especially if you can get side-pipes. That would kick ass, and make an interesting design touch for an Eco-Vehicle.
