Damn, VB needs ajax post updating...

Anyway, I'll take them. I just need to figure out how to get there. My mom's car gets bad mileage

How about your trip over here you've been planning?

LOL. Apparently, that's not gonna happen any time soon, if at all... the only vehicle we have is the van, and my scangauge money just went out the window with the breaking of the wife's starter during install.

I tried to swap the solenoid from another starter I had, but the damn thing broke on me while removing it. Then I tried to solder a new bolt in place of the one that sheared (the one for the starter switch), but by the time I got done, the solenoid had apparently heated up too much, and wouldn't cycle anymore. I threw it. Then I threw the other starter. Then I threw my tool box. I had a "temper" day today, I guess.

I'm officially broke. I mean totally, this time. Unemployment sucks. $201.90 for a new starter, to (hopefully) start an engine that I'm not even sure runs. (Junkyard pull, but was driven into the yard.) Other than that starter, it's all together though.

Wow, that sucks! Hopefully it runs for you.

How much do you think it would cost to ship that junk? It might be cheaper for me than running all the way up there. I'm sick of driving, too...

Strip down your knuckles and weigh them... I think they're about 20lbs stripped, and might fit in a flat rate... I'll have to strip one down and find out.

The only part that's different is the hub itself... I'll pull the upper A arms, lower control arms, calipers, rotors, caliper bracket (you'll want to use your original brake stuff anyway) and they might fit in a flat rate, maybe. If not, probably about 25lbs x2 from 16947 to you.

Idaho is barely a hop skip and jump away from us

EDIT: will investigate prices on shipping and junk, as well as seeing if I can grab another set locally

Is MASS any closer to you than me? Andover, specifically.

Not that I want to volunteer anyone, but maybe if I box them up, and I get a chance to hang out with Matt Herring when he's up on the 3/4 of Sept, we can get him to haul them somewhere closer to you, and you could meet up with him on his way home?

Nope, no closer. Let's give it a day or two of my scamming around for a more local set. It's not an immediate issue since I won't have the car driving for at least a week, and even then I will be able to throw on the dx axles in a pinch, I think.

I should probably pay attention to these car issues instead of looking at expensive camera lenses all night
