It's not so bad. I quite like seeing the car all torn apart, for some reason

Hmm, this swap is even more involved than I thought it would be.
What are you doing for steering? The Insight has that nice, 12V electric rack. I wonder how easy it would be to transplant that into a Civic.
I think radiator hoses might be a challenge. The Insight has 1+1/8" radiator hoses, or something odd like that. I would keep your large CRX radiator if you can. My hunch is a larger radiator would allow for a smaller grille opening.
Looking at your engine bay, I can't help but counting the plug wires and thinking, "That's too many" and shaking my head sadly. Then I count your horns, and I say the same thing. If your low tone horn works, then the high tone horn isn't pulling its weight (220g if it's like mine).
It looks good all torn apart. Especially the interior, because I know special, high-voltage things are going to happen in there.

That's a diff type of adapter than I'm used to seeing... the one I'm used to is the one that was in the article I linked you.
RE: Dad talking alot - same here. He'll have conversations with people he's never met, will never see again, and who don't really care what he has to say... none of it bothers him one bit. I talk to just about everyone, as well. It's a family trait.
One of you guys get a chance to measure that axle?

The CRX has manual steering which works like a charm. I'm actually a big fan of a return to manual steering anyway, so I'm just going to leave it at that.
I was hoping I could use the Insight radiator just because it'll be lighter, though that's an interesting point on having a larger radiator and being able to cover up more...anyone else have thoughts on this?
Ty was gonna bring his calipers and forgot, in a few minutes I'll go down and measure the circumference.
My dad was blabbing about turbine engines. Meh

One of the Civic radiators only takes up half the width of the nose of the Civic (or CRX) and it is sufficient to deal with 200+ HP from boosted B-series engines. There are at least a few aftermarket versions of it as well, and I am pretty sure that they would have standard fitting sizes.

Thanks for the info. It makes me wonder what the salt flats race cars do for radiators...big or little?
Today was a day off. Tomorrow, hard work!

The half sized rads came in 92-00 Civics as OEM. You need to lean it back a bit, IIRC, to fit under the hood properly, as the 2/4gen Civic chassis has a lower hood line.
You can find "performance" and stock 1/2 size radiators on the eBay for anything from ~$40 to ~$300, with the all aluminum/chrome/polished ones being the most expensive.

As I recall, there is a specific year of dodge neon (or some crappy domestic like that) that has a half size radiator that perfectly fits the mounting brackets of the CRX, so I might check that out if I can't repair the insight radiator.
