Took the Talon for a drive today after the coil height adjustment. I need to start driving the talon more now because my newer 2013 Chevy truck has a miss-fire??? I think its a bad EGR???

Anyway I like the new ride height. What do you guys think??? Its still low enough for good aero but now clear most driveways.

Yeah that looks mean. It's a sleeper.

If I were you, given your free fuel situation, I'd drive the Talon as much as possible.

Still working out the final design on the recycle solvent system. I should have it done by the end of this month?

One more thing I wanted to add that I luck out on is the leak down readings.

With the engine cold I have around 15% leak down. At normal operation temperature its around 2% leak down. So I'm very happy with the results.

I gap the rings at .021 on the top and .023 on the second. So this is pretty much normal from my past experience with wide ring gaps. The engine has less then stock blow by so I'm very happy at this point.

The engine is very responsive and has decent lean burn acceleration at mid load.

The compound turbo system is doing its job so far. I'm making boost from a dead stop about 4 psi at 22+ A/F ratio. No miss-fire.

Can it be lowered at all? It is high enough that a lowering of an inch or so might bring a modest aero benefit (for both speed and FE). Do you have an undertray or airdam? Car would go faster, farther with some of these mods, no? Little change to appearance. Any plans?

See my car's mod & maintenance thread and my electric bicycle's thread for ongoing projects. I will rebuild Black and Green over decades as parts die, until it becomes a different car of roughly the same shape and color. My minimum fuel economy goal is 55 mpg while averaging posted speed limits. I generally top 60 mpg. See also my Honda manual transmission specs thread.

I can drop it about 2" more from the pic above. I have a few concerns with it when it was that low though. The biggest problem is our local driveways around here. So many are very steep and I kept hitting the front tow hook (even my own drive way I hit when coming over the drain path). My other concern is my charge pipe needs to be higher at the fire wall. So I need to ponder this for a while. I might bring it up into the cabin under the center console? The other thing that I could do is a skid-plate / undertray with a front air dam like you suggested? This would protect all the charge pipes and improve aero?

Anyway I need to rethink the ride height. lol
