My plan is to get there on Friday, make as many runs as I can( never been and don't know if you can just get right back in line or not) and leave first thing Monday morning.
Got a lot accomplished today. Drained the gas( Pathfinder said thanks), removed gas tank, changed over some plumbing and put all new clamps on hoses, replaced hoses as necessary, installed diesel tank, and plumbed up to the filter. Still need to mount/plumb the filter housing and plumb the pump on the fuel side of things. A friend has a diesel Golf, so I tested how the shut off solenoid was wired. Power for running, no power=no run. Easy kill switch wiring
.
Diesel tank in the foreground, almost ready to go in.
Tank out makes a good view of any rust hiding above the tank. It also shows that new straps are in order soon
.
Sure is nice having an access hole just over the fuel tank plumbing
.
More tomorrow.
