Looks like I'm going to need an aftermarket fuel regulator and to re-plumb the lines.
You might want a larger fuel supply line anyway. I think it's only 6mm/0.25" on the Insight?

Ended up with an AEM fuel pressure regulator, connected to the stock fuel and return lines. From the regulator it's a "dead head" system to the rail. This keeps both the factory fuel pump, and also the engine's stock fuel rail, and fuel pressure is adjustable should I ever decide to go that route.

Still need to sort out:

-Have CEL for VTEC pressure
-My harness had no connector for rear O2 sensor
A/C wiring
-Coolant gauge - I moved the old sensor over, just needs a wire
-Shortening shifter cables so 6 and R clear
-Put speedo converter box in so I have working speedometer
-Cruise control wiring
-Alignment

As a side note, the transmission is 100% brand new inside, and it's a bit hard to shift. It has less than 2 miles on it, hoping everything went back together right and it just needs to wear in.

I probably missed it, but what's the radiator plan? I couldn't imagine the stock Insight one is going to do well in a hot summer day with the upgrade, especially when you are feeling feisty!

What I've heard from others is that it does fine. I'll find out, of course.

Currently doing some future planning for my CRX HF when the motor eventually goes. I've got 320k on the clock, probably have another 150 before I spin a rod or something.

I'm looking into a k24 and there is plenty of varieties out there. Do you know what an insight gets apples to apples mpg In driving with a k24 versus OEM?

Not yet!

With a CRX you're likely to need a large hood cutout, the engine bay isn't tall enough for a K series.

It's barely tall enough for a 3-cyl Metro engine!
