Oil pan's got a good point, the vast majority of people who claim to believe in climate change aren't changing their lives in any meaningful way. What's the word for that? Starts with an h.
I've become a believer recently. It doesn't change my life much except eating less red meat.

The vast majority at large generally don't live up to their principles. I'm as good an example as any.
I've driven (2nd hand) VW Beetles since the 1970s, but haven't made the step up to an electric vehicle.
I believe in change, I just don't believe the solutions.

I think air cooled VWs are cool.
Newer gasoline ones suck.

Antifreeze is poisonous to puppies and kittens. Won't someone think of the puppies and kittens?

Prestone used to make propylene glycol but discontinued it due to lack of sales. I liked it cause I could run about a 20% mixture and that was plety for costal Virginia.
So the IPCCC is destroying the cult of climatology hell fire and brimstone dooms day preaching surrogates.
Nice. So the boss just told you guys to tone it down a lot or stfu. I expect the true cultists to have a melt down over this.
Then when it all falls apart in the next year or so you can say I
told you so.

This is why I have been trying to tell everyone that climate change is about 1/3 of the bottleneck we are headed into. It is a long, slow process which will play out over the next 100 years. And it will hurt. But we have a few more immediate stressors to consider. Modern economic theory was developed during a time of seemingly cornucopian access to natural resources and limitless ability of the Earth to absorb our waste and is based on infinite, exponential growth at both ends. But mineral and energy, soil, ocean food webs, ancient aquifers, are entering diminishing grades since we used the best, first. The great expansion from the one time energy bolus of carbon fuels has grown us past full and can only be pulled along via increasing debt and increasing stripping of land for food production and mineral exploration and processing. This debt is a claim on future resources and energy which will very shortly become not quite sufficient to repay it. So one by one, Sovereign debt will go unpaid and the world economy will crash. 10-30 years. There will be a big bubble popping again within 3 years. Bigger than last time. Which may seem to get patched up by more growth temporarily but eventually growth will have to end and we will need a whole new system.
.
But 3 billion people still have nothing better than to cook and heat over open fires. So some vast redistribution is still required.
.
I could sit and write all day but I am on strike. Perfect weather to stand outside today. Here is my sign.

"Don't be useless - use less"
If we all improve efficiency (insulate houses, drive less and with more eye on fuel consumption, choose our transport with care to minimize consumption, go smart on food, etc.) we'd save so much energy and resources that we buy ourselves enough time to structurally solve the issues that threaten us.

Supposedly around 100 years ago not far from here you could hit water with post hole diggers.
My water starts at 108 feet now so I have 12 feet of water. But the well can still supply 100gpm. When the well was drilled in the 1960s it had 30 to 40 feet of water in it.

Also eliminate all military. Eliminate all pro sports, amusement parks, McMansions, golf courses. Personal houses and cars? I have serious doubts that it is smart to even try to build out 2 billion electric cars and their 120TWh worth of batteries or if we would be wiser to skip this intermediate step that will still prove to be too resource intensive. People don't realize that Use-less means everything. Not just what you control or touch in your own life. All infrastructure. That is what becomes divided into the per capita footprint. And less would be about 1/10th the current US throughput and 1/5th for Europeans.
